On 10 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Mozambique, called on H.E. Mrs. Maria de Fátima Simão Manso, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Mozambican Communities Abroad, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, to present a copy of his Letters of Credence.

On 12 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique, at the Presidential Palace in Maputo, formally taking up his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Mozambique.

On 28 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Mozambique, accompanied by Mr. Yahya Wongkanya, First Secretary and Head of the Economic Section, paid a courtesy call on and held discussions with H.E. Mr. António Grispos, Secretary of State for Trade of the Republic of Mozambique. Mr. Gabriel Mutisse, CEO of ICM Logistics under the Mozambique Cereals Institute, and Ms. Beatriz Machava, Deputy National Director of Economy, Studies and Cooperation, also participated in the meeting.

On 14 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique, accompanied by Mr. Yahya Wongkanya, First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy in Maputo, led a delegation from the Mozambique Halal Commission (MHC) and representatives of the Mozambican Muslim Association of Entrepreneurs and Business Owners (AMEEM) to attend a working dinner with the Thailand–Mozambique Trade Association (TMTA), led by Ms. Pannpilai Baiyoke, Honorary Advisor to the Association. The meeting aimed to promote cooperation in halal trade, investment, and industry between Thailand and Mozambique under the Thai Government's Thailand–Africa Initiative (TAI).

From 14 to 17 July 2026, Mr. Yahya Wongkanya, First Secretary and Head of Economic Affairs led a delegation comprising representatives of the Mozambique Halal Commission (MHC) and the Mozambican Muslim Association of Entrepreneurs and Business Owners (AMEEM) on a visit to Thailand to explore opportunities in trade, investment and the halal industry.
