Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), who is also Minister at the Royal Thai Embassy in Helsinki, and a delegation of experts from the National Food Institute (NFI), led by Ms. Urai Meechoo, Manager of the Industrial Engineering Services Department.

On this occasion, the two sides conducted a preliminary assessment of the Thailand–Mozambique Seafood Processing Incubator Project in Vilankulo, Inhambane Province. The first phase of the project was recently completed, with equipment and technical know-how handed over to the Higher School of Rural Development (ESUDER), Eduardo Mondlane University, in Vilankulo. They also discussed possible follow-up activities to ensure the project generates sustainable benefits for local fishing communities, entrepreneurs and other relevant stakeholders in Mozambique.
The Ambassador also received an update from TICA on the follow-up and development of new development cooperation initiatives in Mozambique. These initiatives focus on the application of agricultural technologies for sustainable development in Boane, Maputo Province, and Chókwè, Gaza Province, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of local communities and advancing tangible development cooperation between Thailand and Mozambique.
