On 15 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Sorajak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador-Designate, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Verónica Nataniel Macamo Dlhovo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and presented a copy of the Letters of Credence. Ms. Verónica warmly welcomed and congratulated him on his appointment as Ambassador to Maputo. Both sides also discussed Thailand-Mozambique relations, the political and economic developments in Mozambique, the challenges, including the unrest in Cabo Delgado, and the epidemic situation regarding COVID-19. Furthermore, he expressed Thailand's readiness to support and cooperate with Mozambique during the term of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Permanent Member in 2023-2024 in building peace and peace.
