On 18 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Sorajak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador-Designate, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Yamah Mohammed. M., Ambassador of Nigeria to Mozambique, to introduce himself on the occasion of his inauguration and discuss Nigeria's politics and role in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), economic relations between Thailand and Nigeria, especially Thai rice exportation. Both sides also exchanged views on the global political and economic situation, namely the Russia and Ukraine war and climate change which affects the management of the global food chain, concluded that many countries rely on Thailand as a source of global food security.
