On 15 September 2022, H.E. Mr. Sorajak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador, and Mr. Aphirak Paepuang, Minister of Commercial Affairs, Pretoria, South Africa, met with the President of the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce to discuss increasing trade and investment between Thailand and Mozambique focusing on the area of agriculture, aquaculture and gemstone processing. The Mozambique Chamber of Commerce will bring Mozambique businessmen to participate in a Trade Fair in Thailand, and the Office of Commercial Affairs will bring Thai businessmen to Mozambique to boost business activities. In addition, both sides will start a negotiation process of the Memorandum of Understanding on trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Mozambique.
