On 11 June 2021 at 11.00 am, H.E. Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique, presided over the Handover Ceremony of the Thailand-Mozambique Tilapia Breeding Centre located in Praia do Bilene, Gaza Province, to Bilene Tilapia Farm. The Tilapia Breeding Centre is one of the main activities of the 'Sustainable Community Development based on the Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Project in Mozambique' which Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) conducted with the Royal Thai Embassy in Maputo during 2017-2020 with the aim of sharing Thailand's knowledge regarding aquaculture with the Mozambican counterparts. The main idea of this activity is that the breeding centre would serve as an example to other tilapia farms in the region and can be the point of distribution of fingerlings to the locals interested in small scale fish farming. 

The event was attended by representatives from the Department of Asia and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Administrator of Bilene, Mayor of Bilene and other relevant local officials. At the ceremony, the ambassador gave a closing speech to the project thus handing over the breeding center building and equipments to the owner of the area, as well as expressing the readiness to explore similar projects in other areas of Mozambique.

No dia 11 de Junho de 2021 pelas 11:00 horas, Sua Excelência Sr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Embaixador da Tailândia em Moçambique presidiu à cerimónia de entrega do 'Projecto de Desenvolvimento Comunitário Sustentável baseado na Aplicação da Filosofia da Economia de Suficiência em Moçambique'. O evento foi realizado no Centro de Criação de Tilápias Tailandesas na Praia de Bilene, Província de Gaza, e contou com a presença de representantes do Departamento da Ásia e Oceânia, Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros e Cooperação, Edil do distrito de Bilene e outras autoridades locais relevantes. Na cerimónia, o Embaixador proferiu um discurso de encerramento do projecto e entrega de todos os edifícios e equipamentos aos proprietários da área do Centro de Criação de Tilápias, Tailândia - Moçambique, bem como manifestou a disponibilidade para dar continuidade a projectos semelhantes em outras áreas de Moçambique.
