On 25 June 2022, H.E. Mr. Sorajak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador-Designate, arrived in Maputo to take up his duty, succeeding H.E. Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, who retired last year. He was warmly welcomed upon arrival at Maputo International Airport by Mr. Ananias Sigaúque, Deputy Director of the Department of Asia and Oceania, and Mr. Edson Júlio, Thai desk officer of the Department of Asia and Oceania.

The Ambassador-Designate is scheduled to present the copy of Letters of Credence to Mrs. Verónica Nataniel Macamo Dlhovo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation on 15 July 2022. Then he will meet H.E. Mr. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of Mozambique, for the presentation of the Letters of Credence to be officially recognized as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Mozambique on 20 July 2022.
