Royal Thai Embassy joined in the 57th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) to showcase Development Projects, Thai food and products

During 29 August – 4 September 2022 Royal Thai Embassy in Maputo participated in the 57th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM). The Thai Embassy organized 2 booths, the indoor booth inside Tundoro Pavillion exhibiting Projects to showcase Thailand’s expertise in sustainable agricultural projects through the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), gem-cutting and jewelry design through the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), and seafood processing products under PTTEP’s CSR ongoing project with the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (IPEME).

The outdoor booth displayed Thai products and demonstrated Thai cooking by the chef from Thai Ambassador’s Residence, Spicy Thai Restaurant, Pekai’s Thai Pub and Restaurant, and Thara Catering. Thai products from Subpen Moza Shop and Thai food from restaurants, as mentioned earlier, received excellent feedback from visitors and made high sales. Moreover, there was also a demonstration of Thai massage from Thai masseurs from Ehiko Spa.

The Thai booths gained Mozambicans' and exhibitors’ attention. During the FACIM, Mr. Soradjak and Mrs. Paveena Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique, and his spouse were honored to welcome H.E. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, the President of Mozambique, H.E. Adriano Afonso Maleiane, the Prime Minister of Mozambique and Dr. Ivan Henry Meyer, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of South Africa for their visits to Thai booths.
