On 1 April 2021, H.E. Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique and his spouse launched the "Taste of Thailand" food festival, scheduled for 1-30 April 2021, at Spicy Thai Restaurant and Pekai's Thai Pub and Restaurant, Maputo.

The festival aims to promote and rekindle the flavors of Thai food among new and familiar customers. To achieve this, considerable discounts for food consumption are provided at the aforementioned restaurants throughout the food festival period.
