On Thursday 9th September 2021 at 10:00 a.m., H.E. Mr. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique, representing PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, donated medical equipment and medical supplies to Mrs. Edna Valgy Tauabo, wife of the governor of Cabo Delgado to be handed over to a hospital in Cabo Delgado province. At the handover ceremony, Mr. Ismael Valigy, Director General of the Department of Asia and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, Mr. Carlos Antonio da Conceição Simbine, Honorary Consul, Mrs. Sonia Filipa Faquir Petersburgo Sing, Officer of Mozambique Office Administration, PTTEP, Mrs. Anastácia Mahumane, Financial Advisor, Mr. Abdul Carimo Fadile, Communications Advisor, Mr. Mussa Suefe, Partnership Consultant and representatives from the Director-General of the Department of Health to witness the ceremony.

The donation aims to provide public health and humanitarian assistance to the Republic of Mozambique where Thailand's key investment located. It also emphasizes PTTEP's commitment to conducting business with social responsibility. Especially, with communities in Cabo Delgado province, which the LPG project site is located.

Funded by PTTEP, The Royal Thai Embassy in Maputo procured medical equipment and supplies according to the requested list received from hospitals in Cabo Delgado province, as well as taking into account the context of the unrest situation in the area and the epidemic of the coronavirus. The Embassy has purchased and organized a medical equipment handover ceremony, such as, a newborn incubator, oxygen concentrators, a drug dispensing cart, blood suction machine, pressure gauges, weight and height scales, a baby weight scale, blood oxygen meters and medical supplies. All items will be delivered to hospitals in the province of Cabo Delgado at the earliest opportunity.

The Thai government will continually donate necessary equipment to Mozambique people in the future in order to maintain and strengthen the good relationship between the two countries.
