H.E. Mr. Soradjak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador of Thailand to Mozambique, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Silvino Augusto José Moreno, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique, on 20 April 2023 at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique. On this occasion, he expressed determination to enhance cooperation on trade and investment with Mozambique, as well as to boost bilateral trade value after a period of disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thailand will support Mozambique's industrial development under the National Program to Industrialize Mozambique (PRONAI).

Both sides shared readiness to stimulate interactions between their countries’ business sectors in potential areas such as agricultural industry and gems and jewellery. The Minister invited Thailand to participate in the 58th Edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) to be held from August to September 2023.
