On 22 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Sorajak Puranasamriddhi, Ambassador, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr.  Shri Ankan Banerjee, Ambassador of India to Mozambique, to introduce himself on the occasion of his inauguration and exchange views on politics and trade and investment in Mozambique. Furthermore, both sides discussed the role of superpowers, especially China's role in the African region, Increasing India's engagement with ASEAN, the Role of the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean, and the development cooperation projects in Mozambique. Both sides also explored the possibility of a joint venture between the Thai and Indian private sectors in the future.
